Time with Dan and Jody

We were so happy to have Uncle Dan and Auntie Jody come up and visit us this weekend. We had such a wonderful time with them. The kids can't get enough of their Auntie and Uncle!

G is soooo excited about having a new baby cousin...and a GIRL at that! We love adding to the family! When Auntie Jody came out in the morning Gianna asked: "Can the baby come out now?" (as if Jody has control over it!) Jody is so cute pregnant...her bump is just perfect and she looks adorable.

Taking a walk along the bluffs at Dungeness Spit. It was warm (for WA) and sunny. We could see across the water to Canada.

Wish you could see her cute bump!

Playing Picnic and "doggies"

These two play so well together-I couldn't be happier. and happy doesn't even describe what I feel when listen and watch them play together. They love to set up "picnics" and play doggies.

heavenly...

Our Swimming Princess

The fascination of the swimming goggles has rubbed off on Gianna. If you remember in our Halloween pictures Dominic had a pair of green ones that he wore constantly!

So this is what 12 year old boys do for fun...

So you may wonder what 12 year old boys do for fun when they are together...now you know! They get into the closet of a 6 year old boy and fit into as many clothes of his as they can!

Amazing that Dominic's clothes fit them this well! Yes that is underwear on Payt's face! Vinny and I kept hearing snickering in the hallway and then they busted out with these outfits on!

It's My Lucky Day!

Happy St. Patty's Day from these 2 little leprechauns!
While I was making lunch today I listened to them playing in Dom's room, setting up an "R.V." on his bed and getting ready to drive! They made all kinds of plans about what to bring in the RV. These are good days for me! Then, when I said I wanted to take a picture of them in their green shirts Gianna jumped close to Dom, grabbed him around the neck, and they both said, "cheese!" with such enthusiasm! These two kiddos make me feel like the luckiest mom in the world!

Capital Senators Dinner Auction

Happy Birthday Marissa! Brian's select high school baseball team held an auction/dinner/poker tourney...and of course us girls had to bust out the dance moves! Vinny and I bought 2 plane tickets for a great deal...and it was still a great deal even after I OUTBID MYSELF! Seriously, someone needs to monitor me!

Such a fun time together

Vinny had a great night with his buddies in Oly

and then the night ended with some wrestling, hugging, squashing...

Poor Jenni kept ending up in the middle of it all!

Dominic is 6!

This is the day Dominic turned 6 years old! At his birthday breakfast we reminisced about the events leading up to his birth, and then those first couple days of his life. It was so wonderful to talk about that time of our lives!

When I asked him what he would like for his birthday breakfast he responded with: quiche, sausage, and apple kabobs...that was plan until the week ran away from us, and I was exhausted from the other snacks we provided for school and k-enrichment, and so I asked, "How about donuts and chocolate milk?" He was very happy with that menu as well! (and no work for me!)

A birthday song from Grandma

Nick made an airplane for Dominic with Vinny in the shop.

One of my best friends, Marissa, came up with her 3 kids for the night to celebrate Dominic too! It was so much fun sitting on the couch, drinking wine, talking, and watching the kids play-although we did not hear very much from them..too busy having fun! It was a pretty perfect evening for me! Here is Samantha with Dominic.

The three girls!

On Saturday Grandma and Grandpa came up for Dominic's party. He had been LONGING for a headlight that he saw some crossing guard wearing...

Grandma and Grandpa got him one!

Dominic wanted a bowling party and I was all too glad to oblige...we were out of the house and I didn't have to plan a bunch of events!

Here we go TEAM STRIKER! What a bunch of crazy boys! I was cracking up the whole party-this whole group could not keep their hands off of each other...wrestling, hugging, falling down, they were so physical and goofy!

Pre-game Cheer

We had cupcakes for the bowling alley, and a Mary cake for the family pizza party after.

Winning these stuffed animals at the pizza restaurant was the big deal of the night! On an ordinary day, they wouldn't want anything to do with these stuffed animals...but this night it was all the rage!

Dominic got to have Pryce stay the night for his birthday. The three of them cuddled up and watched a movie before bed.

Dom had a great birthday celebration, he is still excited about all of the fun they had!

The Eyfords Visit! What a GREAT time!

One of my dearest friends, Shannon came to visit this weekend with her family. We LOVE the Eyfords! Both Vinny and I have such a great time when we are together! Shan has been my friend since high school and whenever we get together it feels like no time has passed at all, we slip into that comfortable friendship so easily.

The kids had a great time together too!

Of course a highlight for our kids was the RV!! They LOVED riding around in the Eyford's RV. It made a regular car trip into a very exciting adventure! Brad was a conference training both days so he missed out on many of our adventures.

Ready to ride along the Olympic Discovery Trail to the Secret Spot!

It was a day of building bridges...Jack had a mission to build a bridge across the stream in our secret spot so the kids gathered up sticks and logs of many sizes and made a bridge. Vinny helped out too!

Dom testing the bridge

The first bridge that was built

Onto the second location...to build another bridge

Shannon and Jack collecting "materials" (Jack's words) to build another bridge!

Working on the bridge

Couldn't resist this pic!

Snacking on some popcorn...these kids did not stop eating all weekend!

G loved hanging out with Shannon

These two had a great time together

We can't wait for our next weekend with the Eyford family!
