Big Brother Observations...

After Dominic and Daddy had returned from a walk in the snow: (Mommy and G were working some things out!)

Dom: Mommy, did you and G go for a walk in the snow too?
Mom: No... we didn't...G was...(my sentence faded off)
Dom: ..."being a sassy girl?"
Mom: Actually, yes, Dom, very true!

Gianna: I NO sassy girl Domy!

Point NOT taken, G!

Five year old thoughts!

On Dom's bday this was our morning conversation:

Mommy: Dom, Happy birthday, you are 5!
Dom: I am five?! Really I am five?
Mommy: Yes, you are 5 right now!
Dom: But, how did that happen, that I just was 5? I am 5, right now?

He was trying to comprehend how you actually turn a new number...what is the magical formula? sooo thoughtful!

The day AFTER his birthday, he came in while I was getting ready:
"Mom, I am still five. "
Yes Dom you are!

I had also told him that God gave him the special present of snow on his birthday so that Daddy could stay home and play with him-no school! Wow...what an amazing birthday gift...we talked about this...so today he said while outside playing in the snow, "Mom, God gave me another present today-snow!"

Girl's Trip...just what the doctor (and our husbands) ordered!

THE GIRLS...

Our trip began with this...and ended with this!

Palm Desert with the girls! So relaxing...bloody marys poolside, karoake, dance parties, talking, talking talking...can't get enough

We hiked up to the cross...(and I made it)...after 3 coffees and a quick hike in altitude I was hurting!

Woo-hoo!

Rewind...Capital Cheerleaders in Action!

Karaoke at Danny's! So fun!

Our karaoke host!

Ready for a night at Condolane!

Whose are real?

We can't get enough of the karaoke!

This past weekend my girlfriends and I flew down (pretty much spur of the moment) to Palm Desert...We spent 3 full days without kids, and that is amazing considering between the 7 of us there are 17 kids! The sun was wonderful and refreshing, and the company could not be beat!

Snow-Birthday fun!

Dom- you are so amazing! Each day I thank God that he blessed me with you!

Like Daddy-Like son!

This picture makes me want to cry-how blessed am I? More than
I could ever express with words! I have so many dreams and hopes for you... but mostly that you are a giver, are compassionate and forgiving, and a dreamer-and of course a do-er! Never stop hugging me Dom-with your arms, words and smiles! You know I will never stop wrapping myself around you!

Joy!

Wuv you Daddy! You are my hero- in every definition!

Building a snowman! The snow is so powder-light!

finished product-of course with Dom being a boy-he had so much fun destroying it and stomping it the minute it was built!

My angel!

My other angel-at least an angel in training- b/c we all know she has not hit the target yet! But we know she will someday! If you have not read the book Someday you have to read it! it is a picture book meant for mothers and daughters! You will cry for sure!

Dom's birthday morning!

I can't believe I woke up to snow! This is the best birthday! Now Daddy gets to stay home!

I saved my loaf of Finn biscuit for TWO days so that I could eat it for breakfast on my birthday! Thank you Grandma for sending it to me!

Making a wish! I am so happy with my life, I don't know what to wish for!

Gianna enjoying Domy's biscuit!...at first she had a little trouble being happy for her brother and his special day...but she eventually got into it! Now she won't stop saying "Happy beeday Domy" I love it when they come around!

Gianna's latest...

G loves to stick out her thumb and say: "Awesome Dude" or "Good job dude!" She does this to encourage us and to get approval when she is doing something she is not sure she should be doing!

Vinny and Nick take a hike!

Vinny and Nick took a great hike...up from the 7 Cedars Casino and this was the view they were rewared with when they reached the top!

Preschool Valentine Party

I LOVE my best friend Pryce! BFF

"My adore you" (Dom used to say this each night when I tucked him in)

Standing back is overrated!

Gianna joins right in!

Cheese! I have tons of love in my heart!
Dom's party was so fun! His teachers love G too, so they were excited to have her at the celebration. My friend and I were watching the boys vs. the girls in behavior throughout the party...let's just say this- girls were standing in lines, hands folded...boys-not so much! they could not keep their hands off of each other and were singing "I like to move it, move it!" So funny!

Dominic's Valentines Art

Ok, I have to admit I was a wee bit worried...last year at Mother's Day his answers were not so thoughtful! I was so happy when I opened up this Valentine and his answers were soooo sweet! Last year there were 3 fill-in-the-blanks and according to Dom here were his answers:
I like it when my mom cooks: cereal!
My mom looks prettiest when: I don't know!
I like it when my mom: lets me watch cartoons!
GREAT! Aren't those flattering thoughts!
Needless to say, we have been having MANY conversations around what I actually cook, special times we have together...etc. etc. etc. Hopefully this year he will be ready to answer! (the way I would like him to!)

Happy Belated Valentine's Day!

Sibling LOVE!

Valentine Breakfast...red and pink table and V-day gifts!

Bubbles, "yips" (chapstick), and candy!

Crasher cars, bubble gun, candy!
