Senator's Baseball Dinner and Auction

Brian, Marissa's husband, coaches a select baseball team and has a fundraiser in May. We had so much fun last year-we couldn't miss out this year!

The girls

Yes we love pictures!! "oh you make me smile"

Really- we are wonderful examples for all of the high school boys hanging around! Oh goodness-this was the best of a series of 5 pictures like this!!

Vinny's hand in the usual position...what to do!!

He keeps me laughing, that's for sure!

Obviously it is the end of the night...our pictures are getting crazy!

My dear sweet friend who makes me laugh, will cry with me, and who I could not ever live without!!

Runnin' just as fast as he can...

We had the pleasure of watching Nick in his track meet as a family. The kids just adore their big brother!!

Hangin' with Dan and Jody:)

We presented Jody with a 24 oz-er when they arrived- and her koozie barely hit the halfway mark!

Gianna and Payton love each other and were off and running (crawling) as soon as they got together!

Saturday was the Irrigation Parade...Jody and I had gone garage-saling in the morning and found these lounger chairs...then we thought it would be a good idea to haul them to the parade to meet the boys and the kids- about 10 steps in we realized it wasn't such a grand idea...those suckers are HEAVY!!!! but we kept going and were rewarded as we lounged with our drinks during the parade!

Cheers!

YUMMY BEEF JERKY from Johnsons!!! a family fave!

Gianna loved all of the music and the princesses in the parade- she was in heaven!

I think Gianna hit every color in the rainbow with her outfit choice!!! her shoes were bright ruby red too!!

Saturday night we had a bonfire and bbq with the Glassers, even though there was a torrential downpour!! What in the world???? The rain did not let up!

Everyone was a great trooper though!

Like father, like daughter!!! look at those eyes

Cheers!!

Good thing everyone had umbrellas! The rain did not stop our debut fire with friends:)

We were so happy the Glassers shared in the evening with us!

Dan-the lone wolf!!!

Us with our little umbrella...

thank goodness it was not a cold rain- it was actually very pleasant as far as temperature!

Rain or shine- these friends and family are always there!! Dominic had a musical performance at church on Sunday morning and he was sooooo very excited that Uncle Dan and Auntie Jody were there to watch him. Thank you so much Jody and Dan for being here!

Such a fun weekend with family- it meant so much to have them here and spend great time together.

Bouncin'

The boys got our new trampoline set up a few weekends ago and the kids have barely gotten off it since then!

G had a little break where she had to get her scream out...apparently things weren't going her way!

This trampoline has been so fun for the WHOLE family! Vinny and I love it too!

Mother's Day Morning

The kids were so excited to set everything up for Mother's Day morning. I could hear G "helping" Vinny make the breakfast and Dom getting stuff set up. I was trying to sleep in, but their noises and conversations were just too cute.

G came bursting into my room, while I pretended to be sleeping, and started singing me a happy mother's day song that she made up! A ray of sunshine that one is!

Dom had brought home this bag earlier in the week and was so excited to give me my mother's day gifts that he made at school.
While he was showing me the book and vase and flowers, G was pouting off to the side. As soon as Vinny told her to give me her present she perked up, slapped a smile on her face and was so gracious! That girl's emotions bewilder me!!

The book Dom made for me was filled with his own poetry and most of it was about me!! What an amazing gift!

It almost didn't happen...

but, it did, so we were one happy family!

the first fire in our new firepit...Dom was devastated at the thought of not having our first fire. We waited anxiously through dinner to see if the rain would let up...it was coming down hard.

and if there had been no fire, then this would not have happened...

Look at his joy-gooey marshmallow fingers and cream soda!

With daddy, the fire starter.Thank goodness the rain finally stopped!!!

"I got golden!"

one happy boy
